Public BBQ

A small playground beside the West Belconnen Pond at Dunlop, with a new shade sail, covered tables, barbecues kept very clean, bins and a car park with a disabled space. There are no toilets and no tree shade. The equipment runs to a swing set with a toddler seat, a spring horse, a vertical pipe xylophone and a play structure with a wavy metal slide, rock and chain climbing walls, a pole ladder and a cubby with a balcony, though a couple of the puzzle panels are broken and no longer made. A nature play section leads down over rocks to the water, following animal tracks set into the path. Nothing fences the playground off from the pond, so small children need watching. The walk around the water with the ducks is the best of it, and the sunset over the pond is spectacular.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with the local council.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
